PRIMA IV Cannula with valve and catheter, 100 pieces

The PRIMA I.V. Cannula, with P.T.F.E. Radiopaque Catheter & Injection Valve, sterile, are single-use and have a double pointed, siliconized tip. The peripheral intravenous catheter is used to maintain a venous line for a period between 24 and 96 hours and allows easy administration of fluids and intravenous medicine.

The catheter has 4 radiopaque strips. The cannula contains an atraumatic, pyrogen-free, latex-free, stainless steel needle, with a slot at the distal end for visualization of the catheter position. With colored injection valve according to the international code (different depending on the size) and lateral wings for fixation to the skin, flexible with anatomical inclination, for the administration of extra drugs without pain.

The surface of the catheter is very smooth, which allows a better, non-thrombogenic gliding. The cannula with a short bevel, contains a transparent blood reflux chamber with a hydrophobic filter. It offers a lower resistance during insertion, resulting in less trauma for the patient.
