i-FIL Glass ionomer filling cement is used for the restoration of class III and V cavities, pits and fissures, and class I and II cavities in deciduous teeth. i-FIL is a chemical curing, bioinert, fast-setting, aesthetic glass ionomer cement with excellent thermal expansion and translucency in Vita shades. Composition: Fluoroaluminosilicate glass 80-100%, water 10-15%, polyacrylic acid 0-16%, excipient 0-2%, pigment 0-1%. i-FIL does not contain medicinal substance, including human blood or plasma derivate; tissues or cells, or their derivates, of human origin; tissues or cells of animal origin, or their derivates, as referred to Regulation (EU) No. 722/2012; substances which are carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic to reproduction or having endocrine- disrupting properties. PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Compressive strength: 264.7 MPa; Lead content: 0.16 mg/kg. Instructions of use: i-FIL restores/improves the aesthetic appearance of the restorable tooth; restores/maintains the dental function of the restorable tooth; protects biological structures of the restorable tooth and adjacent tissues. 1. Prepare the surface as always. For deep cavities use calcium hydroxide liners. For the best chemical bonding to the teeth, apply the conditioner on the prepared surface for 10 sec. Wash with water and dry with air. 2. Mixing ratio: 3 level spoons of powder / 2 drops of liquid. Lightly tap the bottle of powder against the hand before dispensing. Do not shake or invert. Hold the liquid bottle vertically upright and squeeze gently when dispensing a liquid. 3. For mixing use a metal or plastic spatula and a glass slab or paper mixing pad. Divide the powder into two parts. Mix the first half of the powder with liquid for 10 seconds, and then add the remainder. Mix until exact consistency is reached. The total mixing time is 30 seconds. Do not add powder in small portions. 4. The working area must be kept dry. Apply the mixed cement with a suitable instrument into the cavity. Total working time is 2 minutes including mixing. 5. After 8 minutes from the start of mixing restoration is ready for finishing.
