Chlorhexidine 0.5% gauze dressing, sterile, 10x10cm, 10pcs

Paraffin-based compresses, impregnated with 0.5% Chlorhexidine acetate, for wounds, sterilized Gamma, Hexatulle, 10x10cm, 10pcs HEXATULLE is a gauze of leno weave impregnated with white Soft Paraffin BP containing 0.5% Chlorhexidine Acetate BP. Hexatulle is Chlorhexidine Acetate Gauze Dressing consist of fabric of leno wave with two picks in each shed in which the wrap and weft threads consist of cotton. The fabric has been evenly impregnated with a suitable ointment containing 0.5% Chlorhexidine Acetate BP. The dressing is supplied sterile in single pieces. HEXATULLE acts as a barrier between the wound and a secondary dressing, allowing exudate to pass into the absorbent secondary dressing. The Chlorhexidine acetate antiseptic is slowly released from the dressing, giving long lasting action against Gram (+) positive and Gram-negative (-) bacteria. It is indicated for a wide range of wounds where there is a risk of infection, or on already infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotics. The range of wounds on which Hexatulle may be used include: - Minor burns and scalds; - Laceration, abrasions and other skin loss wounds; - Donor and recipient graft sites; - Leg ulcers.
